Well, here is a special Financial edition of News from Nowhere tonight, and a lot of news there is.
Sort of. Actually, nothing's happened in Washington. The bailout is in chaos, and they're back to hashing it out tomorrow. Seems the Republican rump in the House is having a cow over President Bush and his bailout plan. They think the people are going to get hosed in taxes. Meanwhile John McCain and Barack Obama were at the meetings and McCain apparently said very little. The Democrats, though, say he has been a distraction. Well, how is he a distraction if he says nothing?! That argument makes no sense.
And that whole presidential debate tomorrow is still totally up in the air down at Ole Miss. Now there's talk Obama might go down there and have essentially a town hall all to himself if McCain doesn't show.
In addition to those Republicans on the Hill who look like Keystone Cops right now, Katie Couric roasted Sarah Palin, McCain's genius-choice for running mate. Palin looked kind of out to lunch in the interview.
Wow. You get the feeling that if Obama loses this thing that no black man will ever set foot in the White House as President? Ever? If Obama can't beat this group of jokers, who will?!
In other news, this freaking mess in Washington means the bailout will come too late for Washington Mutual, which has tonight gone belly-up.
And that YouTube video of Dave Letterman roasting John McCain for going back to Washington, instead of appearing on his show as scheduled, is making the rounds. Seems McCain didn't rush back after all -- he stopped in to talk to his pal Katie Couric, too.
That's all for now. Time to watch CNBC and get depressed all over again.
There are tons of different workout programs out there. Most of which are celebrity endorsed in some way or another. The thing is that ever person has to find the right workout. Not just the right workout in general but the right workout for them specifically. That means that some workout programs will work for some people and those same programs will not work for other people. That is because we are all different and our different body types react to different programs.
So I just came across this new program that is called XFLOWSION. This program is a new system that has had great results and I think it will work for a good portion of people out there. It has this thing called TRIPLE TRAINING. That means that is will actually workout three distinct areas in one easy convenient workout. It uses all forms of styles to do it from martial arts, power yoga, and even dance.
Celebrity trainer ERIC PASKEL, who has shaped up some of the hottest bodies in Hollywood is the face of this new program and I think it is going to be huge, so check it out. This might just be the program that you have been looking for some time now.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are spending a little quality time together in the Italian city. Gracing the Roman streets, the lovebirds have been sightseeing (note the very "touristy" accessory) snapping pics of each other and the sights, and keeping their oh-so-cute romance alive on their most recent vacay.
Pop kittens, D'luv flew to Austin, Texas, at an hour so un-Godly this morning that Courtney Love probably still hasn't rolled in yet from whatever crack-ditch she was holed up at all night back in L.A.—and it's almost 4 p.m. here.
Did that make sense? I don't think, but the booze is helping. I'm sitting in my fave Austin cafe/bar, The Spider House, where it's scruffy indie hipster central...where the all the boys look like they're in a band, and where all the girls look like they're boys.
In other words, I find myself blurting out, "Mom?!?" a lot here. It's a D'luvvly weekend of visiting my pal (and frequent Chart Rigger commenter) numbfromdrugs in grad school and hitting the Austin City Limits festival. (Somewhat disappointing lineup this year—Duffy canceled, but MGMT should be cool.)
So this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart: Pink! What happened? Can I get a "Holla!" on why all pop songs that hit #1 only seem to stay there for a solitary week, while we get Flo Rida and Soulja Boy dry-humping Fred Bronson for 13 weeks to stay on top?
Fuck if "So What" didn't drop to #2, and T.I.'s crap jam went back up. At least David Archuleta sucked off the right execs for "Crush" to hop from #30-something to #15 this week. Well, okay, it probably had more to do with the video arriving on iTunes and America's cougars downloading it to add an extra zing to their nightly vibe session.
Oh, that Kanye West "Love Lockdown" (#3 debut)...kinda okay? Ah, fuck it. At least maestro Max Martin's got two songs in the Top 10, with Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold" at #9 and Pink. (What is this, 1999?)
That said, thanks for the all the kindness on the Pet Shop Boysanniversary post for Very. You all rawk! It got some link-love from other sites, as well, so thanks to those broads, too!
Oh, well...thank Christ for tequila.

"I was glad to hear it... I thought it was really sweet. That really brought a big smile to my face." - Heidi Montag, referring to Lauren's comments about missing her former bff on a recent Hills episode.
Here is a very short interview clip of Mel B talking about her latest philanthropic work with the Susan G. Komen Pose For The Cure charity. She also discusses her gig as a correspondent for Access Hollywood covering the latest season of Dancing With The Stars. Take a look.
That's more like it. The number of poll votes went up again this week (which makes me ever so happy). Victoria is obviously a very good topic. The question was Which of Victoria's hairstyles is your favorite? Here are the results in order of most voted for.
Classic Pob (with 40% of the vote)
Pixie Cut (very close behind with 33% of the vote)
Spice World Tour Hairstyle (with 13% of the vote)
Blonde Bob (also with 13% of the vote)
That was a fun one. Again, I apologize for not even remembering the extensions years, I'm sure that would have won had I thought to add it lol. Thanks very much for voting everyone. On to the next question which is such an obvious one that I can't believe it wasn't the first poll question when I started this site almost a year ago. Which Spice Girl album is your favorite? Vote Away. I'm so glad the Blonde bob didn't win by the way lol.
