Alright, so below is Paula Abdul's "I'm Just Here For The Music," a cover of an unreleased Kylie Minogue song from the Body Language sessions (circa 2003). And next to it is Kylie's version.
Paula sounds so distorted, I'm not even sure she showed up to the studio when they recorded this. The producer probably just strung together different words she's said on American Idol, then shoved it into a computer.
She should just change her damn name to Paula Vocoder, and be all like, "Fuck you, T-Pain and Jamie Foxx; this is how you rock a jam proper!"
The previous American Idol winner David Cook is now getting his lips ready for his first on-screen kiss with actress Sarah Roemer for his music video “Come Back To Me”
Scott MacIntyre is the first blind finalist in American Idol history. High expectations were set for the guy, and why not he does sound like he has a good set of pipes. We might yet be surprised
Folks, David Archuleta wants answers in his new single "A Little Too Not Over You," and he wants them now.
"Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth?" warbles our young hero in the glossy, angst-ridden video. Of course, this isn't to be confused with David's previous single, "Crush," which contained the line, "Why do I keep running from the truth?" Why do you, indeed, David.
In fact, that truth is a tricky subject for Archuleta. In the bridge to the chorus of this new one, he admits, "Sometimes I try to hide what I feel inside."
Sigh. David, no wonder the chick in this video you want us to think you were going steady with left your fancy 18-year-old ass. I, too, had girls swarming around me as a teenager. But they just never understood my fascination with Lisa Stansfield. It was the kiss curl, Archie. I wanted one of my own so bad.
By the end of the clip, David persuades the reluctant lass to take him from behind. But it's to no avail; the poor broad just doesn't have the right equipment to satiate the Idol runner-up, and she dumps him in a blind fury of shame, bitterness and frustration!
The singer then, in turn, proceeds to delete all her photos from his digital camera. Yeah...cold.
Comedian and musician, Paul Marturano, also known as Paula Abdul's Stalker was back at American Idol Auditions this year wearing a Ryan Loves Simon t-shirt and a fake Paula tattoo serving up laughs and music with contestants and ready to audition for a second time as seen in this youtube video:
"I am not allowed to say one way or another as to if I will be on American Idol this year. "However if I ever do appear on American Idol again, I will not be singing a song for Paula." said Marturano. According to Marturano, he was horrified when he heard of the recent events involving the death of Paula Goodspeed outside of Paula Abdul's house.
"When I originally performed the song Stalker and when I returned to the season 8 auditions of American Idol at the Izod Center in August, I had no knowledge of Paula Abdul's real stalker, Paula Goodspeed," said Marturano, when asked for comment. "I am a comedian and a musician, not a real stalker and I would like to apologize if my song caused any discomfort to Paula Abdul. I feel very bad for both the family Paula Goodspeed and for Paula Abdul."
Marturano is an accomplished pianist from Philadelphia, who appeared on American Idol and caught the nation's attention by singing a comedic song about stalking Paula Abdul in January of 2008. His audition can be viewed at his website www.paulpiano.net along with several other hilarious videos.
Marturano parleyed his American Idol appearance into success. The Stalker ringtone and his other songs are available on most major mobile carriers and he has released new audio and video versions of Stalker called Stalker 08 on Itunes with the help of producers that have worked with several major artists such as Nelly Furtado.
Last month, Marturano signed a deal with Peace Point Entertainment Group in Toronto, ON Canada to develop and pitch his television show to networks.
Marturano has used what he jokingly calls his "celebrity status" for charity, adopting homeless animals out to loving homes on a Philadelphia Radio Station and has played and appeared at several events for animals for not only his organization, Loli's Place, Inc ( www.lolisplace.com ) but for other animal organizations as well.
You may recall that Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” proved to be a smashing success on American Idol early this year when it was performed by dreadlocked goon Jason Castro.Never one to leave any water in a well, Simon Cowell decided to turn “Hallelujah” into dollar signs for his British show The X Factor. Alexandra Burke, who was crowned the winner of the reality show contest, tearfully performed the tune after her triumph, and sees “Hallelujah” released in the U.K. this week as her debut single. She initially performed the Cohen classic as a duet* with Beyoncé during the final round of the series, much as Leon Jackson teamed up with Kylie Minogue at the end of last year’s X Factor season. So, basically, X Factor + “Hallelujah” x Christmas = $£$£$£$£$!!Meanwhile, at a concert at London’s 02 Arena Saturday night, Elton John announced that he’d rather have his “cock bitten off by an…
The name Shaun Barrowes may only ring a bell to the most devout American Idol fan, which -- depending on your point of view -- is either for better or for worse.
His brief foray into the pop culture mainstream notwithstanding, Barrowes more than holds his own with his debut album, Big Bang Theory. When he's not licensing his music to animated children's shows and winning countless indie competitions (most recently, the Slice the Pie competition, which allowed him the needed funds to catapult his career), he's channeling all the singer-songwriter greats on such tracks as "When I Take Your Hand" (romantic without being cloying), "Hop, Skip, and a Jump" (think Jerry Lee Lewis on Red Bull), and "Somebody Like You" (an American Jamie Cullum).
Comparisons aside, Barrowes' music is shown strong on this solid debut album, which -- while clearly defined -- shows that he has room to grow and evolve while remaining true to his artistic vision.
