Desde que vimos la pasarela de Rodarte de Otoño 2008, cuando se dice taconazos asesinos, much@s nos imaginamos alguna de las obras maestras de Christian Louboutin para Rodarte. Zapatos con plataforma con tacones infinitos, llenos de tachuelas y pinchos. O te encantan o dices "¿y ésto...?", "estos señores se han vuelto locos". Donde sà que estaremos de acuerdo es que este pedazo de zapatos -que lo que también tienen es mucho peligro y tú mism@ le darás el sentido que quieras darle- no te deja indiferente.
Since we were presented the Rodarte Fall 2008 collection, when somebody says killer heels, many of us imagine some of the works of art of Christian Louboutin for Rodarte. Platform shoes with endless heels, embelished with studs, "claws" and spikes. You either love them or say "what is this?...", "these people are going crazy...". But where we can agree with each other is that these shoes -that what they've also got is a lot of danger and yourself can give it the sense of the word you prefer- leaves no one feeling indifferent.
También estaremos de acuerdo que este modelito atÃpico es el tÃpico que a los estilistas les soltará las riendas de la imaginación... Y nos los van demostrando desde hace meses. Desde las combinaciones que solamente se ven en las páginas de las revistas o en las pasarelas, hasta los looks sxy, románticos y rockeros muy llevables y muy apetecibles. Estos son algunos... Si después de la pasarela me hubieras preguntado quienes creo que pueden llevar algo asà en la vida real, te hubiera dicho Rihanna, Mary-Kate Olsen o Victoria Beckham. También puede ser Beyoncé en algún video o su hermana en uno de sus intentos por destacar. Rihanna de momento nada, aunque se lleva un punto más que las hermanas Knowles, por llevar las medias de la misma colección.
If after the presentacion of the collection you would have asked me who I think is going to wear those heels in a real life, I would say Rihanna, Mary-Kate Olsen or Victoria Beckham. Also could be Beyoncé in some of her videoclips or her sister in one of her "I'm trying oh so hard" attempts. Neither Rihanna nor Knowles sisters proved me right so far, even though Rihanna gets a point for having rocked Rodarte tights from the same collection.
Mary-Kate ya viste que ha sido un acierto aunque el punto se lo lleva el estilista. La que no me dejó plantada es Victoria que se inspiró en uno de los looks donde "los armas" de Louboutin se combinan con algo tan sumamente femenino, además de muy tendencia, como encaje. ¡No me esperaba menos de tÃ, Victoria! La que me sorprendió gratamente, era Janet Jackson, la fundadora de este club, que con estas joyas dignas de una verdadera diablesa, ha dado un toque muy especial a su look aparentemente básico.
Mary-Kate did but the point goes to the stylist. The one that didn't stand me up, was Victoria. She opted for a look in which her crystal "letal weapons" by Louboutin go hand in hand with something such extremely feminine, and very trendy, like lace. Didn't expect less from you, Victoria! The one that suprised me in a positive way was the founder of this club, Janet Jackson, that with these feet jewels gave to her apparently basic look a touch even an authentic devil lady would be jealous of.

Just about three weeks ago we were talking about her fantastic editorial for Elle and there is already her next cover to come soon, as well as another editorial, this time for Instyle Greece. The pictures taken during the photo shoot reveal we're going to see Jennifer, an Olympus Goddess, wearing dresses, for example, by Dolce & Gabbana or de Emilio Pucci. Jennifer Lopez protagoniza la portada de la revista Elle de Octubre (el vestido en la portada es de Oscar de la Renta). Y dentro de la revista un amplio editorial con ella y sus nueve diseñadores favoritos. Como verás, las fotos son como pequeñas historias contadas en una imagen. Y lo que se puede percibir de cada una de ellas es que la estrella realmente tiene una relación especial con cada uno de sus diseñadores preferidos. Asà que un aplauso para todo el equipo de Elle y otro al fotógrafo Carter Smith en particular.
Jennifer Lopez is the cover girl of the October issue of Elle (the dress on the cover is by Oscar de la Renta). And inside the magazine a large editorial with the star and her nine favourite designers. As you'll see, the pictures are like small stories told through one image. And what you can perceive from them is that Jennifer has a very special relationship with each of her beloved designers. So let's applaud to the whole Elle team and particularly to the photographer Carter Smith.

The photo session started in Milan with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, where Lopez posed in a fullforce power gown and a velvet page-boy outfit in the duo’s garden. 
La siguiente "parada" era su suite en el hotel Four Seasons. Un encuentro muy Ãntimo con Brian Atwood (en esta toma con aire un poco a Javier Bardem, ¿no te parece?).
