Having marked his half century on Friday with the release of The King Of Pop, a new collection of his chart toppers, Michael Jackson is taking a radically new tack with his next venture. The singer has teamed up with close pal David Gest to record tracks based on the work of 18th-century Scottish poet Robbie Burns.David, a former I’m A Celebrity… contestant and Liza Minnelli’s ex-husband, has revealed he and the Thriller star have given a 21st-century spin to some of the celebrated bard’s verses, putting the likes of We Did Ae Fond Kiss and Tom O’Shanter to contemporary music .”Our favourite poet in the world is Robbie Burns,” he explains. “We turned his work into show tunes; it’s beautiful.”Although they’ve already laid down the tracks it’s not known whether the pair plan on releasing the result.Photo and Source

Beyonce looks like she has done a Michael Jackson by going light in one of her Loreal commercial ads. The skin whitening is rather disturbing I think. Whether done naturally (by natural I mean artificially/ clinically enhanced) or through digital enhancement.I’ve heard of breasts being enhanced on some posters historically, but never for skin tone. It is rather insulting to the African American population I think, making a black girl look less black. Although I couldn’t be sure. Last weekend’s poll on who you think is the greatest male pop star of the past 25 years prompted some interesting reponses. Admittedly, I may deserve a knuckle-rapping for forgetting to include Bryan Adams.Others questioned where David Bowie, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen were, though at least in my mind, those three are rock legends that maybe transcend—or at least don’t seem right being boxed into—a category of “pop” artists.Michael Jackson and Prince were certainly around prior to 1983 (and technically, George Michael’s first U.K. Wham! single was out in fall of 1982), but to not include them would seem a downright crime, as they were completely inescapable that year and for many more to come.Oh well, this ain’t an exact science. HAAAA!!!!!! Michael Jackson is over rated like a mutha fukka!!! That fool hasn’t dropped an album in over 20 years and now platinum selling artist Ne-Yo is fed up with the weird-O!!Ne-Yo says: “He’s being very picky but is supposed to be. This is going to be a really important album” Even though Ne-Yo is helping the washed out artist come back from the dead, I doubt Michael will sell more than 500K copies. When he re-released thriller a few months ago, it won’t thrilling on the charts at all. I think it went gold LOL
