Aronofsky Helps Another Plastic Surgery Victim

Darren Aronofsky has a soft spot in his heart for victims of bad plastic surgery. He helped resurrect freakface Mickey Rourke’s career by casting him in The Wrestler, and now he has plucked Barbara Hershey from the realm of the forgotten and dropped the Jocelyn Wildenstein wannabe into the mix for his forthcoming ballet-centered thriller Black Swan.I can’t tell who who or what Hershey will be playing, but I can tell you that Black Swan concerns a ballerina, played by veggie queen Natalie Portman, who has issues with a dancing rival played by Mila Kunis. Various sources indicate that Aronofsky might be going the twisted Fight Club route here…by having Kunis’s character exist only in Portman’s imagination. Those of us who hoped The Wrestler marked a turn away from the fanciful and jack-offy for the talented Aronofsky are apparently in for a disappointment. He can make up for…

Iron Man Returns With Mickey Rourke and Scarlet Johannson

Iron Man has got to be bigger this time around after the success of the first installment. Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) was absolutely hot the first time around. I think they intend to take it further casting Mickey Rourke (Vanko) & Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow) as part of the new cast. I hope they don't make the plot too complicated to turn off kids

Iron Man 2: Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson Are In

Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson have confirmed that they will be joining the cast of Iron Man 2. Mickey Rourke will play the Russian villain Whiplash using elements from another comic book bad guy, Crimson Dynamo.

Scarlett Johansson will play Black Widow. And don't forget Robert Downey Jr. is still playing our hot hero and Samuel L. Jackson is still on to play sneering S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury.

This is indeed a movie to watch out for. Iron Man 2 - 2010

She Likes Them Older And Freakier

Evan Rachel Wood was seen making out with The Wrestler co-star Mickey Rourke at a SAG Awards after-party Sunday according to FoxNews. Evidently, Evan’s little relationship with Marilyn Manson left her with a jones for a real man. So she picked Mickey. Who I guess qualifies as a real man if you leave out his face, which is decidedly not real. I give Evan points for originality at least: Most little starlets go for the same dudes, Josh Hartnett and Ryan Phillippe and that whole gang, but Evan, she likes sniffing around the freak-jobs. When she’s done with Mickey she’ll probably go find herself a one-armed carnie or maybe go lesbo for Jocelyn Wildenstein.

Super Rumours on Iron Man 2

Last week we reported that Iron Man's director Jon Favreau (Think Swingers and director of Elf) was zoning in on Tim Robbins to replace Gerard Sanders as Howard Stark, Tony Stark's father. Don Cheadle has already been slotted to replace Terrence Howard as Rhodey whom as all graphic novel readers already know is destined to become the character War Machine.

Despite what is said to be a very tight lid on production and details, PCM has learned that Favreau is in discussions over primary villain roles with both Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke.

To keep things real Rockwell's character would be industrialist Justin Hammer (Hammer Industries), Stark's corporate nemesis, also sharing Tony Stark's lush lifestyle as a fellow billionaire extraordinaire opposing Stark on the business end. Remember, someone had to fill the vacuum as a weapons supplier when Stark got out of the weapons business. Justin Hammer is diametrical to Tony Stark, a methodical and refined gentlemen to Stark's free wheeling Playboy. I somehow don't see Rockwell playing Hammer as a recluse in a smoking jacket; Hammer is sure to undergo a character change for the film. The addition of a mastermind will surely keep the intelligence level of Iron Man Two up to par with the quality story we received in the first Iron Man installment.

Micky Rourke would pick up the cherry role of Anton Vanko, the Crimson Dynamo. Now which of the many (5) incarnates of Crimson Dynamo Mickey would portray is a mystery. Most likely it would be the Anton Vanko version (the first). As for super villian powers, he controls electricity and can fly.

Principal production on Iron Man Two is set to start spring of 2009 as Iron Man Two's theater release date is May 7, 2010.
