Check out what happens when MTV gains access to one of the UK’s most fascinating modern day celebrities. “Pete Doherty in 24 Hours” is the compelling result of an MTV film crew turning up at his country home and asking if they could spend the next day with him. Much to their surprise he said yes and welcomed MTV into his home with an old fashioned cup of tea (made in a pot!).
The result is a captivating, revealing and compulsive one hour special which marks the first time in over two years that the Babyshambles front man has participated in a television project.
Pete happily takes MTV on an exclusive tour of his quaint country manor house where he can be seen hoovering the floors, and finding more and more cats who have taken over much of the house. He also exclusively reveals his notorious gallery of blood paintings that have been the subject of much media fascination.
Pete also talks candidly about his personal life (including a certain famous model ex girlfriend) and responds to the endless tabloid headlines that have haunted him including the allegation of him injecting an unconscious fan with heroin. He also reveals that his son has moved into the area and how that’s affected his life.

Overdosing is nothing new to Pete Doherty, he’s basically a professional at it, but this time it actually caused him to almost miss a gig.
The junkie star collapsed before he was due to sing solo at a porn cinema in Graz.
He had reportedly been on a huge bender at his promoter Bettina Aichbauer’s farmhouse.She called an ambulance and he was revived, but the gig had to be delayed four hours.
Petey refused to head to the hospital and actually did play the gig - which is pretty rock star I’ll admit. So I wonder if he actually flatlined during his OD? Maybe he is headed for the OD hall of fame along with Nikki Sixx, Phil Anselmo and Dave Mustaine - other rockers who all died and were brought back from an OD. Nikki Six even did it like twice!

Pete Doherty is getting some heat for giving a Nazi salute on-stage in Spain. A couple of things on this…First: People who give Nazi salutes on stage are desperate to create controversy and get themselves in the papers and should therefore be ignored. Second: Rock stars imitating Sieg Heils and other gestures associated with murdering totalitarianist regimes was really cool back when Bowie was in his Aladdin Sane stage. Now? Not so much. Third: Pete Doherty is so drugged up he probably didn’t even know what he was doing. And no, this is not a slander of Pete…witnesses say he did drugs on-stage at the same show in Spain. He might’ve thought he was reaching for a box of Bisquick off a shelf when he did that “salute.” “Hey honey, I’ma make pancakes. Kate?! You there luv?”

Been awhile since we had a good Pete Doherty arrest story. No, he hasn’t been arrested again…but he faces arrest, reports the Daily Mail, after missing a court date where he was supposed to enter a plea over charges he attacked a female photographer last summer.Someone needs to explain to Petey-Poo that when you don’t show up for court they come and get you. Did he think they would just forget? It’s funny the way these people’s minds work…it’s like they project their own irresponsibility onto the rest of the world. Pete forgets stuff all the time so he assumes everyone else does. No Pete…the authorities actually keep records and stuff. They have their shit together, unlike you.

El cantante británico Pete Doherty salió este martes de la cárcel tras haberse beneficiado de una liberación anticipada después de 29 dÃas tras las rejas, en lugar de las 14 semanas a las que habÃa sido condenado por no respetar las condiciones de una advertencia previa.
El cantante de los grupos de rock The Libertines y The Babyshambles abandonó el centro penitenciario de Wormwood Scrubs, en el oeste de Londres a las 07H10 locales (06H10 GMT), indicaron medios de comunicación británicos.
Vestido con su ya tradicional traje y corbata oscuros y con su inseparable sombrero, el cantante dijo a la prensa que querÃa llegar a su casa rápidamente, de beberse un ron con coca cola y de acariciar a sus gatos.
Doherty fue condenado el 8 de abril a 14 semanas de cárcel por violar las condiciones de una advertencia que le habÃan impuesto tras varios problemas con la justicia, en particular por consumo de drogas o por conducir ebrio.
El juez que dictó la sentencia habÃa destacado que el músico llegaba a menudo tarde o directamente no asistÃa cuando era citado por la justicia.
En 2004, Doherty estuvo una temporada en la cárcel por haber ingresado a la fuerza en el apartamento de otro miembro del grupo The Libertines, Carl Barat, robarle su guitarra y un ordenador.
Doherty es también conocido por su romance con la modelo británica Kate Moss.

El músico británico Pete Doherty se dedica a leer el Corán mientras cumple con una sentencia en la prisión de Wormwood Scrubs de Londres, según informó hoy el tabloide inglés The Sun.
El cantante decidió leer el libro sagrado del Islam para fortalecerse espiritualmente durante su estadÃa en la penitenciarÃa londinense, donde cumple una condena por posesión y consumo de drogas. "Él ha comenzado a leer el Corán desde que fue detenido", declaró una fuente allegada.
"Tiene muchos amigos musulmanes, quienes le aconsejaron una y otra vez para que estudiara el libro sagrado. Ahora ha conseguido una traducción del Corán y los está leyendo", agregó.
Según el informante, desde que Doherty lee las escrituras islámicas "está más calmado".
El ex vocalista del grupo The Libertines y actual lÃder de la banda BabyShambles cumple una sentencia de 14 semanas en prisión.
Sin embargo, el Sun denunció que el músico, ex pareja de la modelo Kate Moss, logró conseguir heroÃna dentro de la cárcel y no quiere dejar atrás su adicción a las drogas.

Según informa Gigwise, Ficek ha dicho que tienen nuevo material completo y listo desde antes de que Doherty fuera encarcelando. “Tenemos casi un álbum de nuevas canciones preparado, obviamente va a volver a ser editado con Parlophone. Asà que todo va bienâ€, decÃa el baterista de la banda.
“Ahora simplemente estamos esperando a que salga (Pete) para cuando lo haga, podernos poner manos a la obra y poder volver a tocar juntosâ€, explicaba el músico. Además añadió: “Tenemos un montón de festivales este verano, asà que seguiremos escribiendo e intentando tocar en directo las nuevas cancionesâ€.
Sobre su nuevo disco, poco más. Ficek explicó a Gigwise que ahora la prioridad de Pete Doherty es que su álbum de debut como solista vea la luz cuanto antes. “Creo que antes de concentrarse en los Shambles de nuevo, estará más pendiente de su disco en solitarioâ€, aclaraba Ficek.

Aunque no podrá estar presente, el controvertido cantante Pete Doherty exhibirá su muestra "Art of Albion" en ParÃs, que incluye jeringas usadas, fotos destrozadas y poesÃa. El joven no asistirá por razones de fuerza mayor: un juez lo condenó la semana pasada a tres meses y medio de cárcel.
El trabajo del británico, de 29 años,que incluye 32 cuadros entre los que hay autorretratos, collages, ilustraciones de sus noches en prisión, homenajes a su grupo Babyshambles y a su ex novia, Kate Moss, estarán expuestos en la GalerÃa Chappe, entre el 25 de abril y el 11 de mayo.
"Hasta dibuja con su propia sangre", adelantó el director del centro, Alexander Gilbert, quien puso especial énfasis en un retrato de Moss que Doherty realizó con lápiz labial. La exposición pasó por Londres en octubre del año pasado.
Doherty vivirá desde la cárcel las repercusiones que tenga su "arte" en la Ciudad luz, ya que la semana pasada fue condenado por un tribunal de Londres a catorce semanas de prisión por violar su libertad condicional, a la que habÃa sido sentenciado en octubre por conducción ilegal y posesión de drogas.
