Nicole Kidman Joins The Campaign Of Violation For Human Rights
Nicole Kidman, who is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Fund for Women (Unifem) and also its spokesman, is to motivate people to sign their names to the cause.
"One in three women may suffer from abuse and violence in her life. It is a terrible violation of human rights," Daily Snack quoted as saying.
"Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread human rights violations throughout the world. In fact, no woman or girl in the world is entirely free from its scope: it occurs in the home, the workplace, in schools, on the public highway, in the refugee camps. No woman is safe from its scope. "
"We can put an end to these practices. Unifem I became a goodwill ambassador to amplify the voices of these women," Nicole Kidman added.
Other celebrities to have signed for the cause include Hilary Swank, Sir Bob Geldof, Catherine Deneuve and Christopher Lee.
The United Nations Foundation will, I donate for every dollar of the first 100000 signatures, and people can add their names by visiting the Say No To Violence site.
