A Day Late and An Album Short?

After a less than spectacular return to the music scene, I believe due to the debacle that has become his personal life, Usher has rehired his mom as manager. But can she salvage his career?

“Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager,” the mother and son said in a statement Wednesday.

According to a source, “He wanted her to come back on board and she decided to. He had really poor management and wanted her back.” The source cited lackluster album sales as one of the reasons Usher decided to reconsider his management. [SOURCE]

Benny Medina can’t keep a client these days, can he? I wonder why, hmmm… He seems so plastic. Usher’s publicist, Patti Webster, also resigned on Aug. 1.

All I can do is shake my head because Ray Charles could have seen all this coming!
